PVC piping and fittings for chlorine vacuum lines
The piping and fittings used in chlorine gas vacuum lines are made of chlorine-resistant PVC and PE materials. Correct sizing and leak-tight assembly of the vacuum line are decisive for the safety of the chlorination system: a leak in the line causes the vacuum to drop and the vacuum regulator to close.
Depending on capacity, PE hose (Ø8/12, Ø12/16) or PVC pipe (Ø16 – Ø40) is used; hose clamp connections, glue-in sockets, tees and blank caps complete the line. Vacuum line components must not be used for pressurised chlorine gas.
