Emergency equipment for chlorine is an intervention kit used to temporarily stop a leak from the valve or body of a chlorine cylinder or drum. The kit comprises capping devices for the relevant cylinder and drum types, clamps, seals and the necessary hand tools.

Intervention may only be carried out by trained personnel wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (breathing apparatus, full-face mask, protective clothing). Keeping the kit readily accessible in the chlorine room is a requirement of safety regulations.
