Flow-through chlorine electrolysis for pools — SALT-WATER-LIGHT® process

Manufacturer: Lutz-Jesco Disinfection Systems

TECHNOPOOL is the original of flow-through chlorine electrolysis for swimming pool water disinfection. In the SALT-WATER-LIGHT® process, salt (sodium chloride, NaCl) is added once to the pool water; in the electrolytic cell the disinfectant hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is generated from the dissolved salt directly in the filtrate line, supplying the disinfectant only where it is needed. Salt and water are formed again during disinfection and the cycle starts again. There is no need to transport, store or use chlorine gas, chlorine bleach or chlorine tablets.

Because the procedure completely eliminates direct contact with hazardous chlorine, it won the fifth Hazardous Substance Protection Award in 2002 and in 2012 was included in the generally recognised standard of technology, DIN 19643-1. The TECHNOPOOL range comprises TECHNOMAT PS for private pools up to 75 m³ and TECHNOSTAR for public swimming pools.

Key features

  • Pool water disinfection without hazardous substances — salt as the only operating agent
  • Chlorine generated directly in the filtrate line, only where it is needed
  • Conforms to DIN 19643; no chlorine gas room and its safety requirements
  • Skin-friendly, slightly salty water; no reddened eyes or irritation of the mucosa
  • Control via measurement and control technology, external release input
  • Low maintenance, coated titanium electrodes (TECHNOSTAR)
  • TECHNOMAT PS for private pools (max. 75 m³); TECHNOSTAR for public pools
