Measuring cells for free chlorine, total chlorine and chlorine dioxide
Disinfection measuring cells continuously measure the concentration of free chlorine, total chlorine and chlorine dioxide in water. In the depolarization cell, rotating glass balls keep the electrode surface permanently clean, and the platinum/copper electrode combination provides stable, reproducible measurement.
The measuring range can be set at the amplifier from 0…0.5 mg/l Cl₂ to 0…20 mg/l Cl₂. For total chlorine measurement the pH value must be kept constant in the range pH 3…6; above pH 6 only the fraction of chlorine present as HClO is measured, due to dissociation.
